As per reports, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to stage a public rally in Islamabad on coming Saturday (30 March) to protest against alleged electoral rigging during the 08 February 2024 general elections, as well as post-poll result manipulations and perceived deviations from the Constitution. Despite initially seeking permission from the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner’s Office for the rally, PTI has now turned to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for approval due to delays. Additionally, PTI reiterated its demand for a thorough investigation into the elections.
PTI will also hold a press briefing on Monday (25 March) regarding the International Monetary Fund (IMF) package and its purported effects on the economy and the public. Additionally, PTI leaders intend to hold a public rally in Karachi on 21 April.
