As per reports, a protest in defence of municipal education is scheduled to take place at La Alameda Park, in front of the Central Bank of Ecuador, on Thursday (19 February) at 1700 hours local time (2200 hours UTC), under the slogan ‘Municipal education is not to be touched.’

Reportedly, the mobilisation has been called by parents and teachers and is not an institutional action organised by the municipal authorities.
