Protest scheduled in Mysuru on Saturday (18 July)

As per reports, protest against the inclusion of Kambala in Dasara is scheduled from 1000 hours IST beside the VTU office on the Outer Ring Road at Sathagalli, where preparations for the proposed Kambala event are reportedly under way. The controversy over the State government’s proposal to include Kambala in this year’s Mysuru Dasara celebrations has risen, with a coalition of farmers’ organisations, the Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS), environmental groups, Kannada organisations participating in the protest.
