As per reports, the National Office of Electricity and Potable Water and the water-sector unions in the Marrakesh-Safi region, namely the Democratic Confederation of Labor, the National Union of Labor in Morocco, the General Union of Workers in Morocco, the Moroccan Union of Labor, and the Confederation General of Labor organized protest against deteriorating situation experienced by the potable water sector on Thursday (04 January).

Trade unionists raised slogans denouncing the successive policies that made water a commodity for sale after the creation of multi-service regional companies was approved.
