As per reports, Asturias with Palestine, a solidarity platform, will hold a demonstration in Gijón (Xixón) on Sunday (26 January), to protest ongoing violence in Palestine and express support for the Palestinian people. The demonstration will begin at 1230 hours local time at Plaza del Humedal and conclude at the Náutico Gardens. In the event of unfavorable weather, the endpoint will be relocated to Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

The demonstration highlights concerns over alleged genocide, the destruction in Gaza, and the lack of peace in Palestine. Organizers are calling on Spain and the European Union to cease arms sales to Israel, end diplomatic treaties, and advocate for rebuilding efforts in affected Palestinian areas.
