According to the Australian Friends of Palestine Association (AFOPA), pro-Palestine demonstrations are planned in Adelaide on Wednesday (26 March) and Friday (28 March).
• A demonstration is planned on Wednesday (26 March) for 1700 hours at North Terrace, near Pultney Street lights. AFOPA alleges that Universities Australia’s working definition of anti- semitism conflates the political ideology of Zionism and the State of Israel with Judaism and Jewish identities. The demonstration is planned for free speech and academic freedom.
• Another demonstration is scheduled for Friday (28 March) for 1800 hours at Beehive Corner, Rundle Mall. It is planned to commemorate the International Day of Quds (annual pro-Palestinian event held on the last Friday of Ramadan).
