As per reports, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather advisory for snowfall in most parts of Southern England on Wednesday (08 January).

• The advisory warns that snowfall may push into some southern counties of England, especially London, which could lead to significant disruptions. The weather conditions are expected to cause travel delays and disruptions in multiple areas.
• On Wednesday (08 January), a small chance of travel delays is expected due to stranded vehicles and passengers, as well as delays or cancellations of rail and air travel. The day is forecast to be cold, frosty, and bright, with temperatures ranging between zero to three degrees Celsius.
• Several airports have already been impacted by the snowfall, with four major airports temporarily suspending flights. Manchester Airport has closed both of its runways for the third consecutive day due to heavy snowfall. Bristol Airport temporarily suspended flights earlier on Tuesday (07 January), while Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport was also closed for snow clearing until 1030 hours (local time) on Tuesday (07 January). Aberdeen Airport has paused flights due to freezing conditions on the runways as of Wednesday (08 January).
• On the roads, National Highways reports that the A1 in Lincolnshire is closed between the B6326 near Newark-on-Trent and the B1174 near Grantham because of extensive flooding. The A628 Woodhead Pass in South Yorkshire/Derbyshire is also closed between the A616 for Flouch and the A57 for Hollingworth due to snowfall. Rail services have also been disrupted, with flooding causing the closure of all rail lines between Peterborough and Leicester, affecting CrossCountry and East Midlands Railway services.
