As per reports, on Wednesday (18 December), a private plane skidded off the runway after landing in the town of San Fernando, located on the northern outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Two deaths were reported.
• The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) reported that at 1318 hours (local time) on Wednesday (18 December), an aircraft with the registration LV-GOK, operated by New Lines, crashed at San Fernando Airport.
• It was reported that the aircraft was returning to Buenos Aires after a trip to Punta del Este, Uruguay, and that at the time of the accident, only the pilot and co-pilot were aboard. The plane went too far onto the runway and, for reasons yet to be determined, was unable to brake, causing it to veer off the track and crash into nearby houses.
• The Junta de Seguridad en el Transporte, Transport Safety Board (JST) reported that it had dispatched personnel to investigate the incident, under the supervision of the state agency’s headquarters.
