As per reports, a plane crash occurred in Lingayen, Pangasinan at around 0900 hours (local time) on Sunday (30 March). Additionally, the Lingayen police stated that the aircraft, namely Cessna 152 with Registry No. RPC-8595, an aircraft of Pilipinas Space and Aviation Academy Inc. reportedly crash-landed in a swampy area at the east portion of the Lingayen Airport after experiencing an alleged engine failure.
Following this, the aircraft pilot and student pilot of the plane were reportedly taken to the Lingayen District Hospital and were later declared dead. Further, Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil called for a meeting at 1400 hours (local time) with the local government of Lingayen to discuss the incident. No further casualties were reported on the ground, and the direct cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
