As per reports, the Unified Departmental Federation of Peasant Workers of La Paz Tupac Katari has announced a protest march heading toward the city of La Paz on Wednesday (10 June).

• The mobilizing social sectors, traditionally known as the Red Ponchos, are scheduled to initiate their gathering at 0800 hours local time (1200 hours UTC).
• The primary assembly point is designated at the Multifunctional center of La Ceja, located within the neighboring high-altitude city of El Alto.
• Participants joining the mobilization have been directed by trade union leadership to wear their respective traditional organizational clothing.
• The labor union rejects ongoing dialogue frameworks with the national government, demanding an immediate resolution to their localized socio-economic grievances.
• The ongoing regional road blockades have severely disrupted logistics supply chains, preventing the standard transit of food, oxygen, and other essential medical supplies.
• The group maintains a wider framework of unrest, including highway blockades across the La Paz Department that have persisted for more than a month.
• The affected areas include La Ceja, central El Alto, the highway connecting El Alto to La Paz, Plaza Murillo, and downtown La Paz, with key road corridors at risk including Route 1 and Route 3.
