As per reports, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) and cloud clusters forming outside and inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
However, Pagasa weather specialist stated that the LPA located on the northeastern boundary of the PAR may not develop into a typhoon within the next few days and will not have any direct effect on the country. The cloud clusters though forecast to become an LPA in the coming days, will also not impact the country.
• Meanwhile, the latest weather bulletin states that the effect of the Southwest Monsoon has weakened. However, it will continue to bring scattered rainfall and thunderstorms over Batanes and Babuyan Islands within the next 22 hours.
• A general flood advisory is activated for Cordillera Administrative Region, Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Bataan, Zambales, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Quezon.
