According to reports, more than 15,000 security personnel have been deployed to maintain the law and order situation during the 14-day Senate Election campaign.

• Yich Samethy, Member of the National Election Committee (NEC), stated that for the election campaign period from 10-23 February, a total of 15,724 personnel comprising mixed forces from relevant institutions have been deployed. During the election campaign, the security forces will protect the parties’ convoys and marches and at campaign gatherings to ensure a safe, secure and free environment free from threats.
• He added that the NEC had recognised the Cambodian People’s Party, the Khmer Will Party, the Funcinpec Party, and the National Power Party as having the right to campaign.
