As per reports, Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (INMET) has issued orange alerts for heavy rainfall, strong winds and hail for parts of Brazil.

Disruptive weather conditions are expected until 1000 hours (local time) on Saturday (06 January) in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Tocantins, Bahia, Mato Grosso, and São Paulo.

• Rainfall between 30 and 60 millimeters per hour (mm/h), and strong winds ranging between 60-100 kilometers per hour (kmph) accompanied by instances of hail are expected.
