As per reports, online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers who are a part of the ‘Indonesian Online Transportation and Service Drivers Association – Garda Indonesia’ held a demonstration on Jalan Merdeka Barat towards the State Palace in Central Jakarta, at around 1400 WIB, on Thursday (27 February).

• The police in response had closed half of Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat towards the State Palace.
• The ojol drivers carried out their actions on the left side of the road, while the right side of the road was still passable by drivers.
• The ojol drivers were protesting in order to pose several demands from authorities including a reduction in the application fee deduction from 20 percent to 10 percent.
