Ongoing security operation reported in Manguinhos, Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday (06 November)

As per reports, early on Wednesday (06 November), agents from the Capital Homicide Division (DHC), the Special Resources Coordination (Core) and the Federal Police Rapid Intervention Group (GPI/PF) are carrying out an operation in the Manguinhos favela (town), in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, to serve two arrest warrants against suspects in the murder of a retired federal police officer.

It has been reported that the operation involves a Civil Police helicopter and armored vehicles from the Federal Police. Shots were heard early in the morning.
