According to reports, authorities have imposed a 15 day nighttime vehicle restriction on BP Highway (till 05 July) amid hazardous monsoon conditions.
The inter-district security coordination committees of Kavre, Sindhuli and Ramechhap districts made the decision during a joint meeting on Friday (20 June).
• Except for freight trucks, all vehicles will be banned from operating between 1830 hours and 0500 hours.
• The ban focuses on the high-risk stretch between Kavre Bhanjyang and Khurkot in Sindhuli. Vehicles traveling from Kathmandu will be stopped at Kavre Bhanjyang, while those heading toward Kathmandu will be halted at Khurkot.
