As per reports, at least five major airports and London’s Eurostar terminals were experiencing long queues and delays of at least 45 minutes due to a Border Force outage affecting electronic passport control gates as of 1718 hours local time on Thursday (25 April).

• The UK-wide issue was first reported by Edinburgh Airport around afternoon hours on Thursday (25 April) with no information about when the issue will be resolved.
• Heathrow Airport, London Gatwick, Manchester Airport, London Luton and Stansted are among the major airports reporting queues.
• Some flight cancellations have been reported. However, it is not clear if they are due to the outage as all live airport departures are showing the flights are delayed, but scheduled to fly on Thursday (25 April).
