As per reports, the National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced a nationwide indefinite strike in Ghana on Wednesday (13 May).
• Workers of the National Identification Authority (NIA) under the Public Services Workers’ Union (PSWU) have announced an indefinite nationwide strike following the expiration of a prior seven-day notice issued to authorities.
• The strike is scheduled due to the severe delays in implementing a migration report that affects their salary, conditions of service, and promotions, according to reports from the Public Services Workers Union.
• The strike is expected to impact Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Ho, Koforidua, Sunyani, Wa and Bolgatanga.
