As per reports, the National Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) has issued a cyber advisory warning of an increased risk of cyberattacks targeting Pakistan’s infrastructure and government institutions.
• The advisory reportedly highlights that potential threat actors could exploit cyber operations, targeting government agencies, defense sectors, financial institutions, and media organizations.
• Potential attacks could include phishing campaigns, malware attacks, and the use of deepfakes to breach systems, expose sensitive data, and disrupt essential services.
