As per reports, Peruvian authorities announced on Wednesday (03 January) that more than 30 ports and maritime shipping terminals on the northern and central coast of Peru have been closed due to anomalous waves, until Sunday (07 January).
• Large waves along the north coast are expected to persist moderately until early hours on Friday (05 January).
• Ports and maritime shipments which are affected include Zorritos-Puerto Pizarro, Caleta La Cruz, Puerto Zorritos, Caleta Grau, Caleta Acapulco, Caleta Cancas and Caleta Punta Sal (Tumbes), Caletas Máncora, El Ñuro, Los Órganos, Cabo Blanco, Lobitos, Puerto Talara (Tortuga, Mc Donald, Yeti and San Pedro docks), the Petroperú liquid cargo dock, the Punta Arenas Multiboyas Terminals and Negritos, Caleta San Pablo and the Muz Hybrid Dock, located in the province of Talara, Piura region.
