As per reports, the mayor of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, has declared a red alert due to confirmed measles cases in the city as reported on Sunday (15 June).

Eight positive cases have been confirmed, in six children aged between one and six years old.

• The municipal government is deploying health units to provide coverage and vaccination, especially for children who have not yet received their doses.
• Mobile hospitals will be dispatched to various districts and cantons for vaccination and treatment.
