As per reports, the Gautam Buddha Nagar District Committee of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) organised a workers-farmers Mahapanchayat outside the premises of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) Noida, located in Sector 16A on Tuesday (24 June).
A resolution was unanimously passed in the Panchayat that if the demands are not resolved, a three-day complete strike and lockout will be held in BHEL Noida from Tuesday (01 July) to Thursday (03 July). During this, a sit-in protest will be held at all the gates of the company.
• CITU National Secretary Sudeep Dutta warned that if the problems are not resolved, the agitation will be intensified in BHEL institutions across the country.
• CITU Delhi State President Virendra Gaur appealed to make the proposed nationwide strike on 09 July a success against the violation of labour laws and anti-labor policies.
