As per reports, students of the Medical Assistant Training Schools (MATS) staged a protest by blocking the Shahbagh intersection in Dhaka on Wednesday (22 January) to demand a list of four demands including recruitment to vacant positions in the 10th grade and an increase in employment opportunities.
The protest began at around 1040 hours at the main road under the Karwan Bazar metro rail station, and then at around 1115 hours the students gathered in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh, before blocking the intersection by around 1300 hours.
