As per reports, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded approximately 118 kilometres southwest of Copiapó, Chile, and approximately 107 kilometres northwest of Vallenar, Chile, on Thursday (11 June).
The earthquake was recorded at 0822 hours local time (1222 hours UTC) at a depth of 10 kilometres, classifying it as a shallow-focus event, and the epicentre was located at 27.814 degrees South, 71.419 degrees West.
