As per reports, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck the North Atlantic Ocean at 0823 hours UTC (0423 hours local time) on Friday (26 June).
• According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the epicentre was located approximately 162 kilometres east of Beauséjour, Guadeloupe, at coordinates 16.567 degrees North, 59.578 degrees West and a depth of 10 kilometres.
• Initial reports indicate that the earthquake was not felt, or no felt reports had been received, and no damage, casualties or tsunami threat have been reported. The event occurred offshore in the eastern Caribbean Sea, away from populated areas.
