As per the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), an earthquake was reported near the Hokaido Prefecture at approximately 2125 hours (local time). The details are as follow:
• The National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NRIESDR) reported the magnitude of the earthquake as 4.0, while the JMA reported it as 3.6.
• Weak shaking was reported in the Erimo, Amami and Oshima regions within the Hokaido Prefecture, however no residents or infrastructure was affected.
