As per reports, an explosion occurred at the Greater Chennai Corporation’s biogas production plant in Manali Pallipalayam, Chennai, on the night of Saturday (15 February), resulting in one death and another worker sustaining severe injuries. At approximately 2200 hours, an unexpected gas pressure surge and electrical leakage caused a machine explosion inside the control room. Emergency response teams, including Manali police and fire station personnel, arrived at the site and conducted a two-hour rescue operation to recover the victims.
