As per reports, the Chief Minister (CM) of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, will visit Balh constituency in Mandi on Saturday (26 September).
The following are the latest updates available:
• The Chief Minister is expected to address a public gathering and participate in a public rally organised by the Himachal Kisan Union.
• During this visit, CM Sukhu will also lay foundation stones and inaugurate several local developmental and infrastructure projects for the region.
• The Himachal Kisan Union is expected to raise demands including the establishment of a Civil Judge and DSP office, a girls’ college and an ITI at Leda; strengthening of the Suketi Khad embankment; a tomato-based food-processing unit; availability of paddy foundation seed; annual 20 percent increases in certified procurement prices; and loan waivers of up to INR one lakh for farmers.
• Additional demands include upgrading Government Secondary School Soyra to a high school, filling vacant Agriculture Extension Officer posts and establishing natural-grain seed depots in urban areas.
