As per reports, a landslide occurred at Himalaya society in the Govind Nagar locality of Mumbai’s Ghatkopar suburb at 2115 hours of Friday (12 April). No injuries were reported in the incident.

At least 10-12 hut settlements near the rockface have been vacated as a precautionary measure, and subsequent relief operations remain underway at the site. The Mumbai Fire Brigade, Police and municipal personnel remain deployed at the site.
