As per reports, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting issued a warning of flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence due to heavy rainfall or water flow in the provinces of Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, and Yen Bai on Saturday (13 July).

Nine people died when a 16-seater van traveling in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang on Saturday (13 July) was buried by a landslide in Bac Me District. Rescue teams have reached the site. 13 people have been rescued from under the debris.

• Heavy rainfall has been forecast through the day in the following areas –

Lao Cai (Bac Ha, Bao Yen, Muong Khuong, Simacai, Bat Xat); Yen Bai (Luc Yen, Mu Cang Chai, Tram Tau, Van Chan, Tran Yen, Yen Binh); Ha Giang (Meo Vac, Dong Van, Yen Minh, Quan Ba, Bac Me, Vi Xuyen, Hoang Su Phi, Bac Quang, Xin Man, Quang Binh); Ham Yen; Chiem Hoa and Lam Binh.
