As per reports, the Kerala government on Tuesday (07 May) issued an alert in the State against West Nile fever, a mosquito-borne viral infection, after one death and around eight cases were reported from Kozhikode, Malappuram and Thrissur districts in recent days.
As part of the vigil against the viral fever, spread by the Culex species of mosquitoes, the government has ordered that steps be taken for mosquito control by destroying their breeding grounds.
