As per reports, the Gwangju Branch of the Childcare Division of the Gyeonggi headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Union’s (KCTU) Public Sector Workers Union launched a sit-in protest at the Gwangju City Hall on Wednesday (22 April) which is expected to conclude by 1130 hours (local time) on Thursday (23 April).

This is to demand the introduction of a long-service allowance and the elimination of discrimination regarding congratulatory and condolence leave.
