The Kazakhstan Meteorological Service (Kazhydromet) has issued storm warnings indicating thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, hail, strong winds, dust storms, and high to extreme fire danger across multiple regions on Tuesday (26 August).

• In the Karaganda Region, extreme fire danger persists in the south, with high fire danger anticipated in the east.
• In the Ulytau Region, an afternoon heatwave of 35 degrees Celsius is forecast, with high fire danger expected in the east and centre.
• In Mangystau Region, Aktau is under a high fire hazard.
• In Kyzylorda Region, dust storms are forecast in the east and centre during morning and afternoon, with northeast winds of 15–20 m/s. Kyzylorda city will face afternoon dust storms and winds up to 20 m/s. Extreme fire danger persists.
• In Kostanay Region, thunderstorms are expected in the west and north. Afternoon southeast winds will gust 15–20 m/s. Intense heat of 36 degrees Celsius is forecast in the south. Extreme fire danger remains in the south, with high fire danger expected in the west.
• In the Aktobe Region, strong afternoon heat of 37 degrees Celsius is expected in the south and east. Extreme fire danger remains in the south, with high fire danger in the centre and east.
• In West Kazakhstan Region, thunderstorms are expected in the east and south, with fog in the north and east at night and in the morning. High fire danger remains in the south, with extreme fire danger in the west. Uralsk is forecast to have fog at night and in the morning.
• In the Atyrau Region, thunderstorms and hail are forecast in the west, north, and south. Daytime heat of 35–37 degrees Celsius is expected. Extreme fire danger remains in the west and east, while high fire danger persists in the centre and south. Atyrau city will experience thunderstorms, with daytime heat of 35–36 degrees Celsius and high fire danger.
• In the Abai Region, high fire danger persists in the west, south, and centre.
• In Zhambyl Region, northeast winds of 15–20 m/s are forecast in the southwest, northeast, and mountainous areas. Extreme fire danger remains across the region, including Taraz city.
