As per reports, the Karnataka State Farmers’ Association has scheduled a District Farmers’ Conference at around 1200 hours on Thursday (13 February), at Mysuru Town Hall, in commemoration of the 89th birth anniversary of professor M.D. Nanjundaswamy. The event aims to advocate for pro-farmer policies, rural development initiatives, agricultural protection, fair pricing for produce, and the regularization of agricultural workers.
Over 5,000 participants, including national leaders of Samyukta Morcha, office-bearers of the Association, women and youth units, and progressive organization leaders, are expected to attend, with calls for a nationwide farmers’ movement.
