According to reports, Prime Minister Jafar Hassan has announced an official holiday on Thursday (26 June) to mark the Hijri New Year.
As per the official circular, all ministries, public institutions, government-owned companies, universities, municipalities, joint service councils, and the Greater Amman Municipality will suspend work on the day. Exceptions will apply to institutions whose nature of work requires otherwise.
