The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Traffic Police has issued traffic advisory for Saturday (01 February), due to snow accumulation, traffic control and for passage of security convoys, which is as follows:

• The Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road is closed for vehicular movement, as per Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kokernag’s advisory endstt. no. SDM/KNG/2024-25/3139-45 dated Thursday (16 January).
• The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari (SSG) road is closed due to snowfall. The decision regarding vehicular movement on the SSG road will be made after receiving a green signal from road maintenance agencies.
• Mughal Road is closed for vehicular movement, as per District Magistrate Poonch’s order endstt. no. DMP/JC/7273-92 dated Saturday (18 January) in view of snow accumulation
• The Bhaderwah-Chamba road is still closed due to snow accumulation for Saturday (01 February).
• Moreover, subject to favorable weather conditions and improved road conditions, Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) (Passenger/Private Cars) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed to move from both directions on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44), from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. Authorities have announced that Traffic Control Unit (TCU) Jammu/Srinagar will coordinate with TCU Ramban to monitor the road conditions.
• Further subject to favorable weather and good road conditions, Security Forces (SFs) vehicles will be permitted to move from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44), from Jammu to Srinagar and vice-versa.
