Iraq to impose curfew for census on 20 and 21 November - datasurfr

As per reports, Iraq will implement a two-day curfew on 20 and 21 November for its first census in 27 years. The curfew will apply across all provinces to facilitate the population count.

The upcoming census, supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), aims to provide accurate demographic data for better policymaking and inclusive growth. Iraq’s current population is estimated at around 43 million.
