As per reports, on Friday (24 October), the International Motoring Federation (FIA) confirmed a cybersecurity breach over the summer, in which personal details of drivers, including four-time world champion Max Verstappen, were exposed by hackers.
The breach involved the FIA Driver Categorization website, compromising passport numbers, personal contact details, CVs, super-licenses, and other personally identifiable information (PII) of nearly 7,000 drivers. Immediate steps were taken to secure the data, and impacted drivers were notified.
