As per reports, the International Gita Mahotsav cultural and spiritual festival has been scheduled across multiple locations in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka from Friday-Tuesday (19-23 June) to promote cultural ties between India and Japan. The event is organized by the Kurukshetra Development Board and the Government of Haryana.
Following are the details:
• Major public events include an exhibition and the International Gita Seminar scheduled at the Ito International Research Center Hall inside the University of Tokyo on Saturday (20 June) starting at 1000 hours (local time). This will be followed by a ceremonial Gita Yagya ritual and a public peace march originating from the ISKCON Temple in Funabori, Edogawa, Tokyo on Sunday (21 June) at 1600 hours (local time).
• Additional cultural and exhibition events are scheduled at the Yayoi Kaikan Gion Centre in Kyoto on Tuesday (23 June) starting at 1330 hours (local time).
