The Japanese Meteorological Agency (JMA) issued multiple weather advisories across parts of Japan at 2140 hours (local time) on Tuesday (13 October).
The following areas have been issued advisories:
• Yellow storm gale advisories have been issued for the following: All areas in the Hokkaido region have been issued a yellow storm gale warning. In the Tohoku region- Coastal Akita and Shonai in Yamagata. In the Hokuriku region- Joetsu and Sado in Niigata, Eastern Toyama, Kaga and Noto in Ishikawa and Reihoku in Fukui.
• In the Kinki region- Southern Hyogo. In the Chugoku region- Eastern and Western Shimane and Oki in Shimane. In the Shikoku region- Nan-yo in Ehime and Western Kochi.
• In the Northern Kyushu region- Northern, Central, Eastern and Western Yamaguchi, Fukuoka and Kitakyushu in Fukuoka, Northern Saga. Goto, Iki Tsushima in Nagasaki and Northern and Southern Nagasaki as well as the Amakusa Ashikita area in the Kumamoto region.
• Yellow High wave warnings have been issued in the following areas: In the Hokkaido region- Soya, Remui, Nemuro, Kushiro, Tokachi, Oshima and Hiyama. In the Kanto-Koshin region- Northern Izu Islands in Tokyo. In the Kinki region- Southern Hyogo. In the Shikoku region- Nan-yo in Ehime. In the Okinawa region- Miyakojima, Ishigakijima and Yonagunijima.
• Yellow thunderstorm warnings have been issued for the following: In the Hokkaido region- Soya, Kamikawa, Rumoi, Iburi, Hidaka, Ishikari, Sorachi, Shiribeshi, Oshima and Hiyama.
• In the Tohoku region- Tsugaru, Shimokita and Sanpachi Kamikita in Aomori. Coastal and Inland Akita, Murayama, Okitama, Shonai and Mogami in Yamagata. A yellow thunderstorm warning has also been issued for the entire Tokai, Hokuriku, Kinki, Chugoku and Shikoku region.
• In the Northern Kyushu region- Northern, Central, Western and Eastern Yamaguchi. Kumamoto, Aso, Amakusa Ashikita and Kuma in Kumamoto and the entire Oita region.
• In the Southern Kyushu and Amami region- Satsuma,Osumi, Tanegashima Yakushima and Amami in Kagoshima. In the Okinawa region- the Northern, Central and Southern Main Islands.
• Yellow dense fog advisories have been issued for the following: In the Hokkaido region- Kamikawa, Rumoi, Nemuro, Kushiro, Tokachi, Iburi, Hidaka, Ishikari, Sorachi, Shiribeshi, Oshima and Hiyama. In the Tohoku region- Tsugaru, Shimokita and Sanpachi Kimakita in Aomori.
• In the Kanto-Koshin region- Northern and Southern Ibaraki, Northern and Southern Tochigi, Northern and Southern Gunma, Northern and Southern Saitama, Chichibu in Saitama. Northwest, Northeast and Southern Chiba and Daitojima in the Okinawa region.
