As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Special Weather Statement for increased fire danger across all of central North Carolina which will be in effect until 2000 hours local time on Sunday (14 April).

The areas under the statement include Person, Granville, Vance, Warren, Halifax, Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Orange, Durham, Franklin, Nash, Edgecombe, Davidson, Randolph, Chatham, Wake, Johnston, Wilson, Stanly, Montgomery, Moore, Lee, Harnett, Wayne, Anson, Richmond, Scotland, Hoke, Cumberland, and Sampson.
