As per reports, heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds is expected across South Korea on Wednesday (01 July), particularly along the southern coast and Jeju Island, while scattered showers are forecast across inland areas.
• Rain is forecast to persist until midday across the southern Chungcheong region, until the evening in Jeolla, southern Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam, and through the night on Jeju Island.
• Forecast rainfall includes 20–60 millimetres (mm) across southern Jeonnam, Busan, and the southern coast of Gyeongnam, with isolated totals exceeding 80 mm in parts of southern Jeonnam and 120 mm in mountainous areas of Jeju Island.
• From the afternoon into the night, showers accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, strong wind gusts, and isolated hail are expected in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, and other central and northern inland regions.
• Daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 22 and 33 degrees Celsius, with hot and humid conditions expected to persist.
