As per reports, a coastal storm is likely to affect Delaware Valley, resulting in snowfall, heavy rainfall, strong winds, and coastal flooding by Thursday (04 January). Snowfall is also expected to affect Reading in Pennsylvania, Morristown, and South Jersey in New Jersey, and Philadelphia.

• Snowfall is likely in Long Island, the north and west of New York City, Hudson Valley, and the Catskills and Poconos in New York through Saturday (06 January) and Sunday (07 January). The tri-state encompassing Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri is also likely to be affected, in addition to Kentucky, New England, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
• Low pressure is likely in New Orleans in Louisiana, and flash flooding is expected from Lake Charles in Louisiana to Tampa in Florida. Heavy rainfall is expected in Shreveport in Alexandria and Baton Rouge in Louisiana and Gulfport in Mississippi on Wednesday (03 January).
