As per reports, the Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for the eastern and central regions of the UK, which will be in effect until 2000 hours local time on Tuesday (16 July).
• The warning has been issued for the following regions: in Central, Tayside & Fife, the regions include Angus, Clackmannanshire, Dundee, Falkirk, Fife, Perth and Kinross, and Stirling. In Grampian, there are Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. In North East England, the areas are Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, and Sunderland. In southwest Scotland and Lothian Borders, the regions include Dumfries and Galloway, Lothian, Edinburgh, Midlothian Council, and Scottish Borders. Lastly, in Strathclyde, the areas are Ayrshire, Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Lanarkshire.
• Moreover, due to overnight heavy rainfall, disruptions were reported in London on Tuesday (16 July) morning. Flooding at Wood Green station and a signal failure at Oakwood station led to canceled services between Cockfosters and Hyde Park Corner. Subsequently, travel delays were reported at Piccadilly Station.
• Severe delays were also reported on the Metropolitan line after a signal failure at Chorleywood and heavy flooding was reported in Euston Road near King’s Cross station.
