As per reports, Northern Morocco is expected to experience a shift in weather with rain and cooler temperatures expected in several regions, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology. The weather change will be driven by a low-pressure system forming over northwestern Europe, which may extend its effects to Morocco’s northwest starting Monday (27 January).

• Light rain is forecast for Tangier, Loukous, Rif, and Gharb beginning Monday (27 January) afternoon and is expected to continue on Tuesday (28 January).
• The Azores High will limit the impact of the low-pressure system, but dense clouds with light rain are expected in parts of the northern and northwestern regions.
• The forecast also indicates light rainfall may extend to the Rif, the Middle and High Atlas, the Mediterranean coastline, and parts of the eastern regions on Tuesday (28 January). Scattered rain could also reach the Phosphate Plateau, Oulmes, and plains between Casablanca and Safi.
• Moderate winds are expected in the northwest, particularly in the Rif and Middle Atlas areas.
