As per reports, the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium (KMI-IRM) has issued yellow rainfall warnings for central and southeastern Belgium through Thursday (04 January) morning.
• Rainfall is expected in Wallonia province including Liege, Namur and Luxembourg at least until 0800 hours local time, where cumulative precipitation could reach 70 l/m² in 24 hours.
• Additionally, a flood alert has been issued for the basins of the Upper, Middle and Lower Semois, the Vierre, the Chiers, the Sûre, the Our, the Haute Meuse (upstream and downstream) as well as its tributaries, the Haute Lesse, the Eau d’Heure, the Charleroi-Brussels Canal, the Senne and the Dendre. The alert is likely to remain effective through Thursday (04 January).
