The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued various alerts for rainfall across all districts of Tamil Nadu and in Puducherry till 15 November.

• Monday (11 November) – Yellow alerts for rainfall across the state.
• Tuesday (12 November) – Yellow alert for rainfall across the state.
• Wednesday (13 November) – Yellow alert for rainfall across the state except Thiruvallur, for which an orange alert is in place.
• Thursday (14 November)- Yellow alert for rainfall across the state.
• Friday (15 November)- Yellow alert for rainfall across the state.
• The Regional Met Centre has predicted that the coastal districts, which includes capital Chennai, will face higher-than-average rainfall till 15 November, starting Saturday (09 November).
