The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow alerts in Andhra Pradesh from Tuesday-Saturday (22-26 July). The following are the additional details:

• On Tuesday (22 July), an orange alert for very heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, lightning, squalls, and strong surface wind is issued in Palnadu, Guntur, Bapatla, Prakasam, and SPSR Nellore, while a yellow alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, lightning, squalls, and strong surface wind is issued in all the remaining districts of Andhra Pradesh.
• From Wednesday to Saturday (23-26 July), a yellow alert is issued in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh.
• As per the IMD Nowcast, valid until 1000 hours on Tuesday (22 July), a yellow alert light rainfall of less than five millimeters per hour (mm/h) with maximum sustained wind speed of 40 kilometers per hour (km/h) in gusts is activated in Alluri Sitharama Raju, East Godavari, and Konaseema.
