The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued colour-coded warnings for rainfall across Himachal Pradesh on Friday (27 September). An orange alert for very heavy rainfall is issued for Kangra, Solan, and Sirmaur.

A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Shimla, Mandi, Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, and Chamba.
