As per reports, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be conducting a military exercise in Rajasthan from Wednesday to Friday (23-25 July), focusing on the region stretching from Barmer to Jodhpur near the India-Pakistan border.
This high-intensity drill is designed to assess operational readiness, coordination, and rapid-deployment capabilities in a desert combat environment. Advanced fighter jets, including Rafale, Sukhoi-30, and Mirage 2000 aircraft, are expected to participate, with an emphasis on night operations to simulate realistic battlefield scenarios.
• A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued, alerting aviation operators about restricted airspace, changes in air traffic routes, and potential hazards during the exercise period.
• Under the NOTAM, both civilian and military aircraft are required to follow revised protocols, and certain areas will be cleared of civilian flights for safety and security. The IAF’s measures are intended to prevent accidental interference and ensure seamless coordination between defence and civil aviation operations.
